My Top Five Office Essentials

Updated: May 30, 2020

Hello Lovelies,

I hope all is well. I would like to share with you my top five office essentials. Earlier this week I shared a video on Instagram giving a tour of my study space, and I thought I would add to it by sharing my office favourites.

Because I have been studying more in that space as a result of recent events, these things have become paramount to my study routine.

#1 The Forest App

I spoke about this app in my previous post and I absolutely love it. I use it to time myself and to aid in differing distractions. I also use it as a reward system because at the end of each study session, I receive coins and a beautiful tree. To keep tract of my study sessions, I have assigned specific trees to certain subject areas. This app definitely helps in keeping me focused. This is not sponsored by the way.

#2 Planner

Where would I be without my planner? I have the recollections planner from Michaels and I also use Microsoft power point. I use the power point to organize my due dates and to plan out my do to list for each assignment. I then add these plans into my recollections planner the night before or the morning of.

Do Not Be Busy. Be Productive

#3 Laptop stand

Whether I am studying around my desk or around the dining table, I try to have my laptop stand which helps with my posture (at least I think it does). Sitting around a table for hours on end can place a toll on the muscles and the back. I usually place my laptop on it, but I may use it for certain books from time to time.

#4 Hydration

I am not the best when it comes to staying hydrated. I get distracted by how busy I get that drinking water is sometimes the last thing that comes to mind. In order to combat this, I try to have a container of water around me. I may also add some tea to my study sessions to keep me warm and motivated. I accidentally created a mixture of pomegranate tea bags with mint leaves-delicious!!

#5 A sweater/blanket

I like having a blanket on hand as I work. I at times substitute for a sweater but I love my blanket, especially in the colder times. I like to be comfortable as I study. Additionally, I am still used to my warm Caribbean temperatures and this helps a lot.

So these are my essentials for now. I hope you guys are having a productive day.

That it is it for now, until next time, Peace be.
