It has been a very
trying past few months. I will do a more thorough update in one of the International Journey posts. I must apologize for the delay on those.
Well, you know the drill, get comfy, get a cup of tea and let us dive right in.
The short version of the story is that I have started my bachelor’s in nursing and thus I have started a new college.
Most RN to BSN programs are usually online, but because I am an international student, I am required to be in a face to face program as well as complete 12 credits per semester. Also, I am only allowed to take one online course per semester.
As a result, it was hard to find a school in my area that could satisfy those needs, but thank God, for He was on the case.
I found a program close enough to home that allows me to commute twice per week and I am loving it.
Every End Is A New Beginning.
The drive is not the smoothest, but the administration is well organized, the people are nice, the location is quiet, and the curriculum is flexible considering my circumstance.
I am currently taking three nursing courses and a religious course this semester. Also, because of my unique case, it will take approx. two years to get my bachelors (I know that it can be done in 9 months, but this is not the typical case).
The classes are split into mini sessions which aids in the workload department.
This semester is teaching me all about time management as there are a lot of readings and organization.
If you guys would like, I could work on a tips to staying organized post and maybe in the later future a commuter post.
I am grateful for this opportunity and I hope to take you along through this journey.
That is it for now, until next time, Peace be
